Is a Recumbent Bike hard on your knees? Does a Recumbent Bike work your core?

Recumbents have low and wider seats than stationary bikes. Recumbents also put less stress on your joints which is best for people who have arthritis, knee replacements or any knee or back injuries. Recumbents are much easier to balance on and sit comfortably during your workout which allow you to go longer which means more calories burned. Recumbent Bikes will work your abs, as you pedal the bike your abs need to engage in order to stabilize and balance your body. Your abs are also responsible for giving you the power to push with your legs and drive the pedals on the Recumbent with power. Your lower and obliques get activated as well.

Recumbent Bikes provide the best support out of spin bikes or upright bikes. The laid back position takes pressure of the back by evenly distributing your weight across the bike.
