The T Scale explains how tough each type of barbell finish lands in the toughness gauge. Bars are tested under the stress that is performed for deadlifts, squats, benching and functional fitness. Barbells treated with the Durability Melding Process are marked with the treatment in their bar rating.
The graph to your right denotes how the barbell appearance will hold up over time to scratches, blemishes. Barbells with bare steel are recommended for indoor use only where they are not exposed to elements of outdoors.
*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.
